PLYMOUTH, MA (July 22, 2021) -- The Colonial Records of Plymouth Colony presented by the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds and Plymouth 400, Inc. debuted on PACTV (Plymouth Area Community Television) this week. PACTV is a Founding Signature Sponsor of Plymouth 400, Inc. Register John Buckley, also a Plymouth 400 Associate Board Member, and Assistant Register Tim White of the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds in Plymouth (America’s first registry), Massachusetts arranged a poster exhibit of their collection of authentic, original Colonial Records, many signed by Governor William Bradford himself. Highlights include many firsts that took place in Plymouth Colony including the very first land deed, the first recorded trial by jury, the will of Myles Standish and many more. The COVID-19 Pandemic made it impossible to display the exhibit for the public last year so Plymouth 400 partnered with the Registry of Deeds to create a virtual tour with the help of Hawk Visuals Media.

The Colonial Records of Plymouth Colony features several important records and many notable presenters from The Town of Plymouth, Plymouth County and surrounding towns. They are joined by current and former leaders including legislators, town officials, non-profit executive directors, judges and others for this informative virtual tour (cast list below). Each presenter highlights a different colonial record from the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds in this very special hour-long PACTV presentation (schedule below). The program will also be available to stream via YouTube for people outside of the PACTV coverage area starting next week. Plymouth 400 will publicize this via their website Plymouth400inc.org and social media channels.
