Plymouth County real estate, as measured by the filing of real estate documents in 2012, saw continuing improvement. The Plymouth County Registry of Deeds saw more douments recorded than in any year since 2006.
The number of sales were up 15% over 2011 activity. Even more impressive were the number of mortgages recorded in 2012. There were 28,507 mortgages recorded in 2012 as compared to 21,571 in 2011, a 32% increase. Historically low interest rates are expected to continue well into 2013.
The foreclosure crisis is continuing although at a slower pace.
