Mayflower Descendants Visit Registry

Last week approximately fifty members of the Mayflower Society, from as far away as Florida and California, visited the Registry of Deeds. After a brief tour of the Registry building, they were shown several original documents of significant historical interest from the Plymouth Colony Records. These documents included our first deed in the handwriting of Colonial Governor William Bradford, the will of Myles Standish and the 1623 vote of the Colonial Court which established the right to a trial by a jury for civil and criminal cases in America. Thank you to Tim White and Marilyn Marvill from our office for their help with the visit.
